The elephant is a symbol present in many cultures and religions. In Hinduism, it is Ganesha who combines the micro and macrocosm – existence and non-existence. The Far East, referring to the grayness of the Elephant’s skin, associates it with the sky and clouds. An elephant is also an animal that supports the world with its body, therefore Elephants are a pillar of the universe. In yoga, the Elephant is the root chakra called Muladhara – associated with the Earth and the center of strength. In Buddhism, the Elephant is a tool of heavenly activities.
Regardless of the context, the Elephant is a force. Strength of spirit and strength of body. Responsibility for yourself, others and the world. It connects the earth (matter) and what is opposite to it – the sky (not matter). There is great wisdom in this, in which strength is not used to fight, but to be responsible for ourselves, our loved ones, the world that feeds us, but also to constantly learn to understand.
